Clearly I love weddings, but anytime I have the privilege of traveling for weddings, I love them just a tiny bit more. This one was a special one.
Jonathan (also known as J-wade) moved from Birmingham to Atlanta, and began bartending at my favorite coffee shop. After a couple of chats at the bar about craft cocktails, local churches, and photography styles, (and learning he makes a dang good Old Fashioned), we quickly became friends. I remember how excited he was when we received his great-great-grandmothers' engagement ring, and the look in his eyes when he told me he was going to propose to Stephanie. There is no doubting how much he loves her.
After they got engaged, I was thrilled when they asked me to capture this season for them, and to travel to her hometown of Tallahassee, Florida, to do so.
This day was so sweet, and so relaxed. Stephanie was the most elegant bride, and her girls had no reservations in stomping through a swamp for the sake of the photos. Florals were done by my dear friend Ruthie Weil, Jonathan, of course, batch-made Old Fashioned's, and they started their reception off with swing dancing. This weekend was a blast, and I'm so grateful to have been even the smallest part. It's been so wonderful getting to know you two, and I'm so thankful for your friendship!
